On the bottom of your dashboard is a new feature called “Export client list as a spreadsheet”…and that’s exactly what it does. Why is it useful? I’ll let some other midwives tell you how they use it.
Lynn Hughes, LM:
We do email announcements, invitations, as well as physical mailings. So this is great for making mailing labels or dumping email addresses into Constant Contact. I can also use it for chart review. I can send it to our biller for cross-referencing.
Elias Kass ND LM CPM:
We keep track of our clients’ blood types in a spreadsheet to make sure we have enough Rhogam in stock. This export will let us periodically update our spreadsheets so we never run out.
Chloe Raum, EE, CPM:
I use the spreadsheet and a Gmail address to coordinate a shared Contacts list for the practice. In Gmail, I copy/paste the client information from the spreadsheet into a new Contact for each client. I have created a “New Group” called “Current Clients” and a group for “Past Clients.” When we need to send mass emails to either group of clients, I can log into this gmail account to send them easily.
On our staff iPhones, we have added a new account under Mail, Contacts, Calendars for this gmail account. The only service for it that is turned on is Contacts. When a client calls one of us, their name/face pops up on our caller id. Also their home address is already in our Contacts app and easy to just touch the address to bring up directions on Maps.
Let us know how you use the new “Export client list as a spreadsheet” feature. We’d love to hear it.
